Our History
Beginning as a family business in 1977, C&R Trailer Repair was one of the first privately owned trailer shops in the central Ohio area. Operated by Roy Vance, they focused on great customer service and quality work, allowing them to stand the test of time.
In 2011, grandson Preston Vance opened Vance’s Mobile Service. This was established to provide on-site trailer repair and maintenance. In 2014, Vance’s Mobile Service and C&R Trailer Repair merged to become Vance Transportation Services, a full-service semi-trailer repair facility.
Unfortunately, in April of 2016, Vance Transportation Services lost their building to a fire. Luckily, everyone escaped without injury, although the shop was a total loss. However, with dedication, hard work, and perseverance the team secured a temporary shop and continued to be fully operational while a new, custom-built shop was designed and constructed. As of June 2017, Vance Transportation Services moved into their new shop, built to be exceptionally efficient, including over 8 acres of parking and four stocked service trucks. Our staff of highly skilled mechanics offer decades of experience and are excited to provide the best service possible in their new, better-than-ever shop!

Our goal is to be one of the leading trailer shops in Ohio. As we continue to grow our business, we hope to continue making new customers long lasting clients. How? By continuing to follow the simple principals of C&R Trailer: great customer service and quality work.
